This time a week ago, we were enjoying our last full day in Colorado. I'm happy to be home, but I do miss the clear air, cool temps, and wide open spaces. Actually, for all that's been accomplished around here this week, I might as well have been on vacation.
I did manage to get some knitting done.
This is the mate to the sock that Melissa made for me as part of the Hurricane Sock Swap. The yarn, Liza Souza, was new to me, but it was so nice to knit with, I'm sure more will find its way into my stash soon.
Most of the week, I've alternated spending my time between going through all the pictures I took, and fighting with my computer. I'm having really bad connectivity issues. It seems that my wireless connection and my computer don't want to play nice. It looks as if it might be a problem with my wireless card, although I didn't have any problems using wi-fi while on vacation. The signal strength seems to go between excellent and very low at the drop of a hat, and that hat drops every couple of minutes. We are going to try a couple of things this weekend, but if I can't work it out, I might just throw it out the window and buy a Mac. Sheesh. Anyway, I'm trying to read all your blogs, but if you don't see me comment, it's only because I can't stay connected long enough.
And finally, because it appears to be Flower Friday, here's one I snapped on Wednesday. The local elementary school has put in a butterfly garden. I saw very few butterflies, but the bees were having a fine time.
