So, we are up here in beautiful Wheaton, Il spending a few days with my MIL so Jim can help her prepare her taxes. I always enjoy visiting, except for one thing. She doesn't have high speed internet. No DSL, no Broadband, just <ulp> dial-up. Now, it really isn't that slow, but enough so that my usual mood of impatience is sorely tested. As a result, I've been skimming all my bloglines blogs instead of savoring them as I usually do, and you will most likely not be receiving many comments from me until I get home. I apologize, but I just can't stand the wait.
It was beautiful here today - in the low 70's, which was totally unexpected. But storms are supposed to roll in tonight bringing somewhat cooler temperatures. If the rain doesn't continue through tomorrow, we are planning to visit the Frank Lloyd Wright Home & Studio and perhaps soak up a little inspiration for furnishing our new house. Jim is a big fan of FLW anyway, so I know we'll have a great time. No pictures until we get home though - that whole impatience thing again. Sorry.
I'm also hoping we'll get in a visit to Millennium Park at some point while we are here, and my seatmate on the plane today couldn't help but notice me creating socks and clued me in to a "craft shop" not too far from MIL's house which is allegedly owned by a woman who is also crazy about knitting socks. Seems like a must see to me!
Plans are also afoot to spend some quality time at Starbucks, not only for some liquid refreshment, but also for their high quallity Wi-Fi. If so, I'll catch you later. If not, well, we'll see how long I can put up with the phone line. (spoiled, spoiled, spoiled.)
