To make up for my lack of knitting at the beginning of the week, I've morphed into a lace knitting fiend. So far, I have finished about 20" of the 66" needed for the main part of the Diamond Lace Shawl. Of the 24 row repeat, there are only two rows I consistently have to pay close attention to, otherwise, it's going very quickly. The weather is really nasty today, and is predicted to be the same through the middle of the week, but as soon as there is a bare minimum of sunshine, I'll post a photo of my progress.
I'm thankful to Janice for letting me know she spotted the black Cascade 220 I needed to finish my cousin's tote bag, and also to Why Knot Knit? for being open on Sunday so I could run over and get it. Now if I can just pull myself away from the lace to finish the bag!!
I've also been working on my spinning a little bit, and can report that I'm making some slight progress. There are a lot less completely unspun parts, although I'm still getting too many overspun areas. I know - practice, practice, practice.
To chase away any rainy day blues you might be experiencing, here's a photo of Bandit, as well as one of our just blooming azaleas.
