So here we are at the end of another year. Like all that came before, ours was full of ups and downs, and I don't expect next year to be any different. All I can wish is for more good times than bad, and peace instead of war. Tonight, Big Jim and I are going to one of our favorite restaurants for a good dinner, some sparkling water (for me) and probably more than one martini for him. I'm the designated driver!
And now, my last knitting project of 2004, and my first of 2005 - the October/November sock from the German Six-Sock Knitalong.
I put off starting this one because it seemed a bit beyond my skills, but I'm finding the slip-stich pattern easy and fun to do. This is my first time knitting with more than one color yarn, and I like it a lot. I'll probably make the toes out of the green yarn, and that will be something new for me as well - different colored toes.
In the new year, I hope to learn a lot of new things, and not just in knitting, although that's a start. Of course, my favorite new thing of 2004 was blogging. I've met so many nice people, learned so many new things, and was "enabled" in buying so much yarn, so what's not to like??
Here's to a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year to you all. See you in Blog Land next year!
